چکیده

پژوهش حاضر بر آن است تا به بررسی نقش توانایی‌های شناختی (توجه شنیداری‌/دیداری، سرعت پردازش، هوش سیال) و بسندگی عمومی زبان خارجه در درک شنیداری بپردازد. در مجموع 103 دانشجوی مقطع کارشناسی رشتة زبان انگلیسی در این پژوهش شرکت کردند. آزمون‌های توجه شنیداری و دیداری، سرعت پردازش، هوش سیال کلامی و غیرکلامی، بسندگی کلی زبان انگلیسی، و درک شنیداری به شرکت‌کنندگان داده شد. نتایج نشان داد که مقیاس بسندگی زبان انگلیسی دارای بالاترین همبستگی با آزمون شنیداری بود و پس از آن توجه و سرعت پردازش بالاترین همبستگی را داشتند. تحلیل رگرسیون سلسله مراتبی نشان داد که 16 درصد از واریانس درک شنیداری با عوامل شناختی توضیح داده می‌شود. با افزودن بسندگی زبان دوم به مدل رگرسیون در مرحلة دوم، ۱۹ درصد دیگر به مجموع واریانس توضیح داده‌شده افزوده شد. به‌عبارت دیگر، بسندگی زبان خارجی، پس از کنترل توانایی‌های شناختی، می‌تواند 19 درصد واریانس درک شنیداری را تبیین کند. یافته‌های حاصل نشان می‌دهد که توانایی‌های شناختی تقریباً به اندازة بسندگی زبان خارجی در درک شنیداری موفق حائز اهمیت‌اند.
