Utilizing satire and bitter humor, it challenges human tragedies and serious concerns, serving as a powerful tool for expressing social critiques. John Guare, through his caustic, pointed satire, delves into human relationships, social contradictions, and cultural hypocrisy, generating not only humorous moments but also impactful, thought-provoking scenes that invite viewers to contemplate and critique the surrounding world. Six degrees of separation, in particular, reflects his profound critique of the American Dream. Through dark humor and internal conflicts in his characters, he prompts the audience to reflect on the boundaries between reality and illusion, demonstrating that achieving the American Dream may not always lead to happiness and can even result in identity crises and personal failures. جان گوئر، نمایشنامه‌نویس برجستة آمریکایی، با بهره‏گیری از تمهیداتی نظیر تضاد، تناقض، تحقیر و کوچک‌نمایی، پوچی و تناقضات زندگی مدرن را به تصویر کشیده و با ترسیم شخصیت‌هایی که در دنیایی از توهمات زیست می‌کنند به نقد اجتماعی و روان‌شناختی جامعه می‌پردازد. این پژوهش که به شیوة توصیفی‌تحلیلی انجام شده، با تمرکز بر <em>شش حلقة جدایی</em> به واکاوی مؤلفه‌‏های کمدی سیاه و تأثیر زندگی و رؤیای آمریکایی در نوشته‌های او می‌‏پردازد. یافته‌‏های پژوهش حاکی از آن است که گوئر با خلق کمدی سیاه خاص خود زشتی‌ها و ناهنجاری‌های جامعه را از دریچة طنز به تصویر کشیده و مخاطب را به تأمل وا می‏‌دارد و کمدی سیاه او نقد جامعه و مفاهیم فرهنگی و اجتماعی را در بر دارد. همچنین آثار او با بهره‌‏گیری از تمهیداتی نظیر فلش‌بک و برش‌های متقابل مداوم، فضایی غیرمتعارف و شعرگونه خلق می‏‌کنند که پارادوکس‏گونه، نوعی تجربة نمایشی تکین را فراهم می‌‏کنند. https://jlts.um.ac.ir/article_48350_925be33474ac1c0343275c07d72a04d8.pdf
